Happy Thanksgiving!

8:00 AM

Happy Thanksgiving dearest friends! This year, I'm hosting Thanksgiving and this is the perfect guide to creating a cheese board which is a beautiful and tasty hors d'oeuvre. For my guests, I'll be serving this simple and delicious baked brie...

Baked Brie with Apples and Pecans
Serves 8

1 can (8-oz.) refrigerated crescent dinner roll dough
1 (8-oz.) round Brie or Camembert cheese
1/2 apple, thinly sliced
1/3 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
crackers or apple slices for serving

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
On a stick-free cookie sheet, roll out the crescent rolls flat.
On the baking sheet, place the Brie cheese on the center of the dough. Arrange the apples and pecans on top, and sprinkle the brown sugar on top of them.
Fold dough over top of the brie and tightly pinch the dough closed, cutting off excess dough.
Brush beaten egg all over the dough. This will help seal it shut and turn the pastry a toasty golden brown.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
Serve this baked Brie appetizer with crackers or apple slices.
